The Nithari Case - A Grim Chapter in India's Crime History

Image
The horrific tale of Nithari  The short man watched silently from the roof of the bungalow as Jyoti, 10, daughter of the local washerman Jhabbu Lal, left her home one morning to give some clothes to the homes in Noida's upmarket Sector 31. In a flash, he was outside the gates. Calling out to the Class IV student of the nearby government school, he waved a handful of sweets. The little girl, her skirt torn, her face streaked with dirt was tempted. As she entered, the iron gates snapped shut. Once inside, the man, and his burly master took turns to rape her, her muffled cries evoking no interest in the neighbouring row of houses. The man then strangled her, taking her body to the bathroom, calmly hacking it to pieces with a kitchen knife before dumping the body parts in a drain near the house a few days later.Horrific but true.  You all may have watched something on netflix series named Sector 36 which is based on nithari kand how a servent helped his owner to rape s...

History of Lodhi Garden

Image
History of Lodhi Garden  A 90-acre garden complex situated in New Delhi, India, the Lodi Gardens is comprised of tombs, mosques and other structures commissioned by members of the Sayyid, Lodi, and Mughal dynasties from the mid-fifteenth century onwards. The most significant additions to the complex, the Bada Gumbad, and the Shish Gumbad were made during the reign of Sikandar Lodi (r. 1489–1517), and the place was named after his dynasty following the independence of India in 1947. Scholars believe that the choice of this site was made by three different ruling families because of its proximity to the Nizamuddin Dargah, the burial site of Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya, a venerated thirteenth-century Sufi saint. Lodi Gardens has a number of entry points and four official gates. At the southern end of it is the tomb of Muhammad Shah Sayyid (r. 1434–45) of the Sayyid dynasty, while at the northern end lies the tomb of Sika...
